Plot summary
The movie is set during World War II, when India is in a state of war with Japan. The story revolves around two sons of Colonel Kapoor, Rajan and Ram, who are both with the Indian Armed Forces. Rajan is a Wing Commander with the Indian Air Force, while Ram is a Major with the Indian Army. Rajan is in love with a doctor named Usha Choudhury, who happens to be the daughter of Colonel Choudhury, his superior officer. However, before they can get married, Rajan is assigned to bomb a secret Japanese airport located in a mountainous valley. While carrying out his mission, he finds out that his mission has been compromised by a traitor in his team. Unable to return, his plane is shot down and he is presumed dead.
Meanwhile, Ram meets Usha at a party and falls in love with her at first sight. He does not know that she is Rajan's fiancée and that Rajan is his brother. Usha also does not recognize Ram as Rajan's brother. Ram proposes to Usha and she accepts, thinking that Rajan is no more. However, before they can get married, Ram is sent on another mission to destroy the same secret Japanese airport that Rajan had failed to destroy.
